Let’s Celebrate Nelson Mandela Day Tomorrow, July 18th

Tomorrow, July 18th is Nelson Mandela Day around the world. According to the Mandela Day website website, “The overarching objective of Mandela Day is to inspire individuals to take action to help change the world for the better, and in doing so build a global movement for good. Ultimately it seeks to empower communities everywhere.” The purpose of this day is right in line with the mission of The Giving Net.

Nelson Mandela spent 67 years fighting for social justice, and the organizers of Mandela Day encourage all participants of this celebratory day to spend 67 minutes of their time serving. The organizations website listed 67 ideas for service.
