Scholarship and Community Philanthropy

Scholarship is one way to bring attention to and address some of our most pressing social challenges. The University of Arkansas-Clinton School of Public Service’s Center on Community  Philanthropy, headed by Dr. Charlotte Williams, uses scholarship to bring attention to ways community philanthropy can be used to address these challenges.

Check out their first compendium, “Community Philanthropy: Strategies for Impacting Vulnerable Communities.” This publication offers many points of view on how community philanthropy can be used to impact communities. Scholars who contributed to the publication include Steven E. Mayer, Ivy L. Allen, John H. Jackson and Sherece Y. West-Scantlebury.
